About Us

Dirty Birdz Lacrosse is a Southern California-based youth development program built for families seeking a non-travel alternative to traditional club lacrosse.

Our focus is simple: develop better players through better teaching.

We emphasize:

A strong foundation of fundamentals
Small group, coach-led instruction
A structured, high-energy training environment modeled after the college level

This is a true development program. We do not rely on guest players or “ringers” to fill rosters or chase wins. Every athlete earns their role and develops within a consistent team environment.

To maximize development, rosters are capped at 20 players per team, ensuring more reps, more coaching, and real growth for every player.

Our staff is made up of current NCAA Division II coaches and players from Concordia University Irvine who have excelled both on and off the field. We bring college-level standards, accountability, and teaching—while keeping the experience accessible and development-first.

This isn’t about chasing tournaments. This is about building complete players the right way.

CORE VALUES

1) Fundamentals First!

Great players are built on the basics. We emphasize stick skills, footwork, and decision-making every session.

2) Constraint Led Approach!

Using a constraint led approach we teach athletes how to play the game and develop a strong IQ.

3) Actual Player/Team Development

No ringers. No guest players. Every athlete earns their role and grows with their team.

4) Quality Reps Over Quantity

Roster sizes are capped at 20 to ensure every player gets meaningful reps and real coaching.

5) Access for All

No reason to travel back east to just play teams from the west. We keep costs low and eliminate unnecessary travel barriers for families.

6) Compete the Right Way

We value effort, discipline, and respect—for teammates, coaches, and the game.

7) Build the Complete Athlete

Coaches by current NCAA athletes that excel on the field and in the classroom. We develop confident, accountable young people—not just lacrosse players.
